Cedars Cottage Resort has new owners!

Husband and wife team, Gary and Pippa Gingras are the excited new proprietors of Cedars Cottage Resort. The couple took over the resort March 1^st and have some big plans for the future. Cedars Resort has been a part of the Lake Eugenia landscape since the 1940’s. It is a beautiful quiet family oriented resort located on the eastern shore of the lake.

The first change is that we will now be known as “Cedars of Lake Eugenia – Cottage Resort”, we want people to know that the resort is undergoing a few changes. Doug and Carolyn have done a great job, but we have a few new visions of our own. A mini spa, “event evenings” in aid of local charities, recreation facilities and cabin upgrades are part of our long term plans. The guests have told us that they like the resort, which is testament to Doug and Carolyn’s running of the resort for the past 16 years, so we do not want to change the peacefulness of the resort, just a few upgrades and add the amenities that a lot of travelers are looking for.

Gary, a certified chef and director of Liaison Culinary College in Barrie, Ontario is no stranger to the hospitality field. He and Pippa have run several catering companies and still operate the college. Pippa, an accomplished potter and teacher will be bringing her creative genius and environmental awareness to the resort.

We are tremendously excited about our new venture and look forward to being a part of the Lake Eugenia and Grey County Community for many years to come.
